Irminsul

Irminsul

Anna Grenman

Irminsul is about the borders between the interior and exterior, and how they are always a reflection of one another - how both sides of a line are in eternal dance with each other. The ritual dance plays upon the unity between freedom and entanglement, order and disorder, space and gesture..

Univers

Univers

RACINE

Winner of the award of the best Hip Hop performance at the ‘Urban Film Festival 2016’. A film by Philippe Baudelocque, Smaïl Kanouté, Kevin Gay and Matthias Zimmermann.

Univers is about the encounter between dance and drawing, an ephemeral performance that generates power and fragility. This energy flows to create harmony in between creation and destruction, a dialogue reflecting music, dance, moving image and drawing, which aims to form a universe.

Different Fields

Different Fields

Overlap

Contrasting the atmospheric and beautiful with the prosaically surreal, Different Fields replaces electronic music's repetitive beats with repetitive sequenced visuals, the out of 'real time' effect proving equally hypnotic. Combined with their melodic minimalist music, looking through a memory tinted lens, Overlap vistas highlight a world where harmonics are dominant and time and place non specific.

The cost of War

The cost of War

Shobhan Shah

The real cost of the Iraq war was paid by civilians who were killed in the crossfire.
In this installation project, a light flickers for each civilian death during the 2003–11 conflict in Iraq. There are two lights: one representing civilian lives taken by the American coalition, and another that flickers when a civilian was killed by opposing forces.

Susan Young

Susan Young’s PhD research explores how symptoms of psychological trauma might be metabolised through animation experiments that use autobiographical material to facilitate change, in part by reconnecting the fragmented trauma survivor to the assimilating filmmaker during the animation process. Public screenings of the works may function as a powerful transformative tool, further enabling a trauma survivor to testify to their experiences.
